ENGLISH DEPARTMENT / CULTURAL POSTER CONTEST 2007

WHO MAY ENTER? EOIP students of English at any level.

TOPIC: Any cultural aspect of any English speaking country (music, sport, traditions, celebrities, literature…)

MATERIAL: A sheet of cardboard, 65×50 cm, provided by the English Department. Ask your teacher when you need it. The text, handwritten or typed and in Enghish, will be accompanied by drawings, pictures or any oter visual medium.

THE DEADLINE for handing in postres at the English Department (3rd floor), will be Wednesday, 14th March, at 21.00. Students may also hand them in to their teachers before that date. Don´t forget to write your name, level, group and your teacher´s name on the back of cardboard.

PRIZE: A gift voucher to be exchanged for books, CDs, videotapes!DVDs in English at a bookshop in Pamplona. The winners will be announced on Monday, 26th March at 18:00 and the posters will be exhibited on the 1st floor for a week.

ENGLISH DEPARTMENT / COMIC STRIP CONTEST 2007

WHO MAY ENTER?

EOIP students of English at any level. There will be two categories – one for CE (1st, 2nd & 3rd level, and pre-intermediate module) and one for CS (4th & 5th level, and upper-intermediate module) and prizes will be awarded to each category.

TOPICS are free. And both the texts and drawnings shoud be original and in English.

The minimum size for both categories is a sheet of A-4 paper and the maximum is one A-3 paper.

THE DEADLINE for handing in work at the English Department (3rd floor), will be Wednesday, 14th March, at 21.00. Students may also hand them in to their teachers before that date. Don´t forget to write your name, level, group and yuor teacher´s name on the back of the paper.

A gift voucher to be exchanged for books, CDs, videotapes/DVDs in English at a bookshop in Pamplona will be awarded to the winner of each category. The winners will be announced on Monday, 26th March at 18:00 and the two award winning comic strips will be Published in the next issue of the schools magazine, VOX POPULI.

All the comic strips will be exhibited on the 1st floor for a week.

ENGLISH DEPARTMENT / WRITING CONTEST 2007

TO ALL STUDENTS OF ENGLISH

As every year the English Department has organised the school´s Writing Contest for English students.

There will be five categories, one for each level and prizes will be awarded to eahch level, unless the panel of teachers decides otherwise.

Subjects and topics are free.

The suggested minimum length for the various levels is as follows:

  • 1st Year: 150 words
  • 2nd Year: 200 words
  • 3rd Year: 250 words
  • 4th Year: 300 words
  • 5th Year 350 words

Maximum length for all levels will be 1,200 words. Entries must be submitted both on a floppy disc or CD, and double-spaced lines.
